“It will be your responsibility to teach them and to help them discover who they really are,” he said. “Once they discover their divine origins and their great destiny and potential, they will be filled with Christlike love and the desire to serve Him throughout their lives" M. Russel Ballard
Once we have people get baptized it is important to be their friends and help them know who they are. That they are sons and daughters of a king and we are royalty. With our love and friendship we can help our brothers and sisters.

Not just numbers
“We do not share the gospel merely to increase the numerical size and strength of the latter-day Church. Rather, we seek to fulfill the divinely appointed responsibility to proclaim the reality of the Father’s plan of happiness, the divinity of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and the efficacy of the Savior’s atoning sacrifice.” —Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve
People think we just want people for numbers but we do not. We want them to know how important they are in the eyes of our Father. How He wants them back with Him. The eternal plan of salvation is the most important thing in this Universe. We are all missionaries and we must do our part.

Do not yield
"Do not yield to Satan’s enticements; rather, stand firm for truth. The unsatisfied yearnings of the soul will not be met by a never-ending quest for joy a midst the thrills of sensation and vice. Vice never leads to virtue. Hate never promotes love. Cowardice never gives courage. Doubt never inspires faith." Thomas S. Monson (We need pioneers today July 2013)
Satan is always ready to take us down. In whatever comes our way. We need to remember that Faith will always be stronger than fear. We need to stand firm in what we know is right. There are times when we do fall but we need to know that those thrills will not compare to the eternal happiness our Heavenly Father promises us.

Never leave Him.
President Thomas S. Monson “Unless the root of your testimony are firmly planted, it will be difficult for you to withstand the ridicule of those who challenge your faith, Nephi said ‘Heed them not,” Paul admonished, “God hath not given us the spirit of fear.” Be not.. Ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, We never leave Him.”
I have seen too many loved ones leave because of little things. I have been present when their testimonies were given and they have lifted me on my sad days. Many have left because the world would not accept them for who they were representing. They were ridiculed and chose to leave in order to be accepted. I know I will never be popular and I do not want to be. If the things I stand for are not popular than I do not want any part of it.
I do not fear of what is to come because I have faith.

Perfection, not in this life.
"Perfection does not come in this life, but we exercise faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and keep our covenants. Neil L. Andersen General Conference October 2010
I am not perfect and I do not think I will ever be. I try my best and that is all I can. I love how the Faith i have in this life can keep me going through the hard times. That is really all we have, Faith. Faith that we will be with Him once more. That we will have our families with us in the eternities.

Weak moments
"In our weakened moments, the adversary seeks to steal our spiritual promises. If we are not watchful, our injured, childlike spirit will retreat back into the cold, dark crust of our former bloated ego, leaving behind the warm, healing light of the Savior.” Neil L. Andersen General Conference October 2010
When I was in Young Women there was a speaker told us a story. For some reason there was a member who went over to the bishops home late at night. He just wanted to come by and tell him that he would no longer be going to church. He said that he heard his story or excuse and was very sad. While he listened to him he started to look at his fireplace. Once the brother was done. He got up and told his brother. "look at this piece of coal." He removed it from the rest of the coals and they both watched its red heat drift off and turn gray and cold into the night. "Brother, that is you and the other coals are the gospel." They both sat there crying without words.
I have found many times when things have gotten the best of me. Then I remember this story. I know that there will be more trials coming my way but just like a little coal, I need to be in the gospel in order for me to continue with my faith and the Light of the Savior.

We are all in this together
"We are all in this together. With fellow ward members and missionaries, we plan and pray and help one another. Please keep the full-time missionaries in your thoughts and prayers. Trust them with your family and friends. They Lord trust them and has called them to teach and bless those who seek him.” Elder Neil L. Andersen was from General Conference April 2013
I have never been so close to missionary work than now that my brother is on his mission. The responsibilities we as members now have are also increasing. This is all of our work. We all need to do our part to help our brothers and sisters know the Savior. Just like a piece of cake, wouldn't we want everyone to have a piece of the most delicious cake ever created?
